Background

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) began its journey back in 1999. From then success was the companion of its in working for the people and society. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has done significant work and in recognition of its contribution to the society and to the environment the organization has achieved remarkable national and international significance. Bangladesh is the dreamland of its people and citizens irrespective to caste creed and color. It is one of the developing countries located in south Asian region which have recently made its way to the ' Middle Income' economic solvency with this tremendous milestone the responsibilities came as well. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has come forward to address this challenge and showing a promising commitment to meet those challenges. With the help of the

Almighty and the people the organization is working relentlessly for the society to solving this problem as far as possible. We believe in positive social transformation and sustainable development and with its remarkable contribution in numerous sectors that help us to acquire valuable local and international certificates from various organizations. We have achieved “Jica” award from Japanese ambassador. Moreover, our photo shoots that are included in this website prove our recognition from different organizations for our social service related tasks or works. It is not just a dream anymore. Development is possible, transformation is possible. Following this motto, we are working together and we will work till the end. Association to Assists the Under Privileged (ASAUP) is a non- governmental, non-political, non- profitable, voluntary and philanthropic organization. We believe in unity, sincerity, discipline, cooperation, honesty and hardship. We will ‍survive our organization following these principles and using these principles we are working for a better environment, for a better future. The CEO of the organization, Md. Delwar Hossain, with this responsible crews is working relentlessly for the socio-economic and welfare of the country. We believe in human rights and its universality and with this motto we are working for ensuring and protecting those human rights alongside of the environment.

Our Missions: 

It is evident that an aimless boat just wanders around the sea. SO without fixing aims nothing can be done properly. It will just bring chaos. So we have set an agenda for us keeping these agendas and goals and our mind we are working with dead serious hardship. We have already achieved enviable success in the fields like environment, waste management, and rehabilitation of the freedom fighters. Medication for the infants and pregnant women, mass education and so on. Our mission and goals are:

  • To protect the environment form pollution and reduce the environmental degradation
  • To ensure the proper management of waste
  • To create awareness among people for the prevention of further environmental pollution
  • To recycle the waste products and materials and toxic industrial waste
  • To ensure mass education
  • To habilitate the orphan and deprive helpless children

  • To provide habilitation for the freedom fighter
  • To  ensure habilitation and donation for the disabled people
  • To ensure medication and proper treatment for the deprived and the pregnant women

Our Success, Achievements and Recognition:

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) is a significant non-governmental organization in the perspective of Bangladesh but the recognition of this organization is not only limited within the national borders. It has achieved marvelous international fame and recognition for its contribution.

Reduction of Environmental Degradation   :

Environment is the most important thing for human civilization. Environment and the elements that make up the environment such as air, water, soil and all those living and nonliving entity are directly connected to our existence. We are directly connected to the core of our existence. We are directly connected to the core of our environment. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) Has come forward to meet these challenges of environmental degradation and took a handful approach to reduction the degradation and took a handful approach to reduction the degradation and pollution. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) hosts conspicuous programs each year on the occasion of the environment day to crate consciousness and create awareness among the people. In recognition of the contribution the Director General, Ismail Hossain, of the Department of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth & Sports certified the organization with letter of appreciation in 2008. Muhammad Shahab Uddin, Active Officer of Ward No-7, has admired the active role Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) in reducing the environmental degradation and asserted that Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has been proven most effective in cooperating and implementing the Clean Dhaka Green Dhaka-2015' possible.

Waste Management   :

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) is the most renowned name in the field of waste management in Bangladesh. No other organization has been proven more effective in this sector than Association to Assist the Under Privileged   Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP). Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has collaborated with JICA and Dhaka City Corporation and several other significant organizations. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) established several mini waste transfer stations throughout the metropolis. The ward no 04, 07, 14, 16, 40, 45, 58 are undercover of mini waste transfer stations it by Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP). Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) built mini waste transfer stations in these important points for the proper disposal of the waste and to make a clean Dhaka green Dhaka. Not only this, several nurseries were built alongside the waste transfer stations for making the city green and for this significant work Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) received the Community and Private Initiative' award as the best organization jointly held by Dhaka City Corporation and JICA in 2008. Our national professor Dr. MR Khan were present as a chief guest in the inauguration ceremony of setting up 5 Mini Waste Transfer Station in Mirpur, Dhaka; organized by Association to Assist the Under Privileged(ASAUP). Then, He has admired and certified our organization. “He said to our organization that Association to Assist the under Privileged (ASAUP) is a non-government, non-political & non-profitable organization which is working on solid waste management under Dhaka City Corporation. It also established Mini Transfer Stations in different areas of the city. It is indeed a great establishment for creating healthy environment in the metropolitan areas. He was very glad to know that this organization was awarded best community and private Initiative award in clean Dhaka award contest in 2008 Jointly organized by Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) and Japan International cooperation Agency (JICA). Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Global vice President and Country Director of The Hunger project has admired and certified Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) for setting up 14 waste transfer stations to ensure the proper management and disposal of waste. Munshi Bazlul Baset Anzu, Commissioner, Ward No-7, Dhaka City Corporation has also admired this great initiation and wished success and active role of the organization in further participations.

SAARC youth Camp 2007:

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) along with the ministry of foreign affairs and Ministry of youth hosted the first ever SAARC youth CAMP in 2007. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) was the proud title sponsor of this youth camp. Participants from SAARC countries were taken to several historic places such as the National Parliament Building the Bangabandhu Novo Theatre etc. The organization is not only confined with the national borders. It has worked alongside with the ministries and played a proud role in representing our country as well. For making the program a success Superintending Engineer, Engr. Md. Shaheb Ullah P. Eng., Waste Management Division, Dhaka City Corporation has expressed his king gratitude in a letter of appreciation.

Scholarships for the Disabled:

Disabled persons are often considered as the limitation of the society. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has always challenged this belief and worked for the betterment of this disabled population buy turning them into assets. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) provided scholarship for the disabled person arranged and vocational programs to make them skilled. In 2008 Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) arranged the scholarship program and provided scholarship for the disabled.

Youth Leadership   :

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has been proudly involved with the youth leadership and making skilled laborer for the betterment of youth themselves as a whole for this country. When the young generation of the country is skilled it brings economic development to the country and Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) is working directly in making better youths through hosting evens like National Youth days and taking initiatives such as vocational training and Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) organized and celebrated the national youth day in 2008. It has been enlisted in the ministry of youth and sports for its direct involvement and earned the recognition of so many important national organizations and personnel. The Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports has admitted and admired the active role played by Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) in organizing the self-initiated youth fair by certifying Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP). The Director General (Additional Secretary), of Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC) has admired and expressed his appreciation in Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP's) active role in women empowerment, vocational training, and youth development and wished success for the organization in his letter of appreciation.

 

Health and Education   :

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP)   has been proudly working against the epidemics such as AIDS, Cholera, Diarrhea, and Arsenic and so on   . It has organized world's aids day and was certified by Muhammad Maududur Rashid Safder, Director (   Joint Secretary of the state), Officer for Dhaka metropolis, Department of Environment. It has set up 'Friday Clinics'  for pregnant women and provide medication for free of cost thus ensuring proper medication it has been working against the biggest social curse known as illiteracy.

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP)   held events such as World Literacy Day and directly working for women empowerment thus promoting necessary education for the females. And for its active participation and direct involvement it has received recognition form Muhammad Azizul Haque the director in charge or Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE). The deputy director of Disrict Social Welfare Dhaka, Abu Taher has rendered his kind words to imply that 

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP's) active role in working along with them for making skilled labor and creating self- employment.

Freedom Fighter's Rehabilitation   :

Setting up rehabilitation centers for the freedom fighters is one of the significant activities done by Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) Freedom fighters are our pride. Seeing them in a miserable condition today is a blasphemy for a nation.  Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has come forward to address this great issue. The organization has been issuing allowance and habilitation for the deprived freedom fighters. It has established ' Protiva Bikash Kendro' for the heroic sons of the nation. Shireen Rukhasna, Commissioner of Dhaka City Corporation and one of the admirers of Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has expressed appreciation for Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) for its active role in habilitating the freedom fighters.

Relief Work in times of natural Calamities   :

Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has always been there for the natural calamities stricken people. In term of natural disaster Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has always come forward to help the people in distress. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) collects and provides medication, food, and clothing    and provide it to the people in times of natural disaster and winter. K.M. Shahiduzzaman   , Secretary Member   and social welfare officer, has expressed his satisfaction in his certificate in the letter for the active role of Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) in times of natural disaster.

Much appreciation has been given to Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) for its significant and remarkable activities in the social environmental and aiding sector. Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) has never feared any challenge that has been put in front. It has always come forward with a fearless approach to meet and alleviate every bit of distress. Much has been said about the initiation efforts and the relentless work done by Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) on national and international print media and electronic media. An article was published in, one of the conspicuous dailies of Bangladesh, The Daily Star, on September 03, 2008 covering the set -up of waste transfer stations. It was published under the titleÒ Waste Transfer Stations to Stop Littering the Streets". In this same regard another important daily, The Prothom Alo, published another important daily, The Prothom Alo, published another article under the title ÒConstruction of Mini Transfer Station   : No more garbage on the streets".  The article was published on February 24, 2008. One of the most widespread dailies, Samakal, published on articleon the efforts and devotion of MD Delwar Hossain, giving him the title of 'Maker of a Clean City.' The article was published june 05, 2008. The CEO of Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP), MD Delwar Hossain, asserted his expert opinion on an article published in the Kaler Kantha' on May 01,2020. In the article he has given the statement where ge implies that he wants to work on the waste management and social development sectors. There was no lack of commitment in his statement. In recognition of the efforts of setting up waste transfer stations to minimize the pollutions and govern proper waste management the media tycoon, Saiful Bari, Chief Advisor of ATN Bangla, certified   Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) with his valuable appreciation. He congratulated Association to Assist the Under Privileged (ASAUP) for winning the Clean Dhaka Ward Contest as well in his letter of appreciation.

We not only commit we do. We believe in changes. We know we can bring development and the goal of development possible and we are working for that. Our success and achievements and the visible developmental changes themselves are louder than word.
